Becks is back – Goldenballs set for Euro start return
Posted Wednesday, March 06, 2013 by The Sun
DAVID BECKHAM is set to start his first Champions League game for three years tonight.
Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti admits injuries and suspensions could see Becks, 37, included as the French outfit defend a 2-1 lead against Valencia at Parc des Princes.
Ancelotti said: “Marco Verratti is suspended and Thiago Motta hasn’t played for two months.
“Either Motta will play or Beckham could replace Verratti.
“Beckham arrived in this team with his quality and his character. We need him for this game.”
Beckham’s last Champions League start came for AC Milan in February 2010 when they lost 3-2 to Manchester United.
