Tottenham face fight to land Sochaux defender

Tottenham face a major battle with AC Milan, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain to clinch the signing of Sebastien Corchia.

The Sochaux defender has been earning rave reviews for the French side and is being chased by a number of top European clubs, including Bayern Munich.

Spurs have been strongly linked with a move for the 22-year-old as Andre Villas-Boas looks to build a squad that can compete in the Champions League next season.

But reports in France claim there is set to be a bidding war for Corchia's signature during the summer as Milan, Juventus and PSG have also entered the race to sign him.

Sochaux will be looking for at least £8million for their star defender and Tottenham will have to move fast if they are to bring the talented full-back to White Hart Lane next season.
