ARSENE WENGER has warned Arsenal fans not to expect him to be busy buying players in the transfer window.
The Gunners are 21 points adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester United and six behind bitter rivals Tottenham, who occupy the fourth Champions League slot.
And disgruntled Emirates supporters are desperate to see some new faces this month.
But Wenger, whose side face Swansea in tonight’s FA Cup third-round replay said: “I know people don’t believe it but I say we have a very good squad.
“The number is right. We have a good balance.
“In January it is difficult to find players that are really better and can give something special to the squad.”
Wenger hopes Theo Walcott will finally sign his new contract in the next few days.
The Gunners boss added: “We are trying very hard to close the deal with Walcott.
“Once we have done that, we will certainly do something else. At the moment I cannot tell you more.”
