Livingston will have first-team coach Gareth Evans in charge against Falkirk after manager John Hughes' move to Hartlepool.

Evans is hoping that midfielder Stefan Scougall will pass a fitness test to be included against the Bairns.

Paul Watson and Jason Talbot remain out through injury, with Evans advising that no deal has yet been agreed for former Livi and Falkirk man Burton O'Brien to feature.

"Burton has been training with us but it is premature to say he is going to feature."

Evans added: "We finished our game with Airdrie last Friday really strongly and despite a strange week we have to look to start how we ended that game. We beat Falkirk at their place and it would be great to repeat that."

Falkirk go looking for revenge for a last-minute defeat to Livi in the last meeting between the sides.

Youngsters Craig Sibbald and Dale Fulton have been added to their squad after making successful returns from injury in an Under-20 match.

David Weatherston is struggling with a knee injury and he could join fellow injured front man Sean Higgins in sitting the game out.

Technical Director Alex Smith said: "The Livingston defeat has been typical of a few of our games this season where we have been leading but failed to kill teams off and suffered a heavy price.

"The same thing happened at Raith Rovers last week when we got ahead failed to build on it."

"If we can start showing a far more clinical edge we will get results."
