Juventus assistant coach Angelo Alessio praised Paul Pogba's stunning cameo in the top-of-the-table clash against Napoli, as the Turin giants ran out 2-0 winners on Saturday.
The former Manchester United youth player came off the bench to net his side's second goal with a scorching volley from outside the area, securing the result following fellow substitute Martin Caceres' opener.
"Pogba was in great shape, and scored a wonderful goal," said Alessio to reporters after the match. "We know he can become a fantastic player.
"The coach [Antonio Conte] remains vital. The deadlock was broken from a set-piece, and the substitutions are a result of the training that occurs in the week.
"We were aware Napoli could threaten on the counter-attack, and so we were prepared not to be caught out."
Head coach Conte sits out a ban for failing to alert the authorities of a possible match-fixing attempt during his time at Siena, but Alessio's touchline suspension was lifted in time for the face-off with Walter Mazzarri's Partenopei.
"The ban is a scar that will never go away, but I thank the president and the club for standing by me during this time. It's a pity Conte is still suspended, but we have to continue.
"We have alternated between ourselves, and the statistics are clear: we have won seven games and drawn one, with the best attack in Serie A, and now the best defence."
Indeed, the Bianconeri sit pretty at the top of the league following their latest victory, opening a three-point gap over their title rivals from Naples.
