Mourinho: Falcao swoop impossible

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho stated that it would be impossible for his club to try and sign Atletico Madrid's Radamel due to an understanding between the two sides.
Few players have made the switch across the city of Madrid in recent years owing to the fierce local rivalry between the two sides. But Mourinho also revealed that the two clubs, despite their animosity displayed on the pitch, actually have a healthy respect of one another and do not poach for players from within their ranks.
Under president Florentino Perez, it has become Real's policy to snap up the best players of the world with cost seemingly not an obstacle. And with the former Porto striker currently displaying sensational goalscoring form - he has already scored 11 goals from seven appearances for Los Rojiblancos - the Spanish media have speculated that Falcao could be in line for a move to the current La Liga champions in order to help them catch up with runaway leaders Barcelona.
Mourinho insisted that he has not thought placing a bid for the player at all and told A Bola: "Falcao is a fundamental player for our rivals, just like Kun Aguero was. There is a pact of non-aggression between Real Madrid and Atletico so I think Falcao is a forbidden fruit."
"He's a fantastic player, and I get the feeling he is a lovely guy, and I'm very happy to see him do so well at Atletico."
Mourinho also defended his behaviour as coach following Barcelona's Gerard Pique's recent assertions that the Portuguese's competitiveness has brought out the worst amongst the players and the fans from the capital club.
The former Inter Milan boss, unperturbed by such statements, feels that ultimately it's the results that he delivers that should count.
"Our results speak for themselves and show that in just over two years we have got closer and closer to Barcelona and now we are up there with them and have won the three major trophies in Spanish football in that time," he declared.
"We broke the dominance of Barcelona, something many people thought was impossible."
