The former player and coach was full of praise for the club from the capital, and he expects them to now go on and establish themselves in the Champions League
Former coach Guy Lacombe has expressed his admiration and high expectations for Paris Saint-Germain, a team he already sees as one of Europe's elite.
The former Rennes boss believes that the side will almost certainly win Ligue 1 this season as they are far better than anyone else in the league.
"PSG are already so superior to the other [French teams]," the 57-year-old said to Le Parisien.
"Paris [Saint-Germain] are built to win the championship, but are also built for the Champions League, where I already see them as a top eight or top four team.
The former French striker praised current les Parisiens coach Carlo Ancelotti for his work at the capital club.
"Ancelotti has a vision and it fits perfectly. The game starts and PSG operates like an Italian team – strong and offensive."
Paris Saint-Germain face Sochaux in their next Ligue 1 matche before facing Porto in a Champions League group stage match.
