I have a say

Germany coach Joachim Low has stressed that the Nationalelf intend to utilize a more pro-active style of play in the upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

The Euro 2012 semifinalist impressed with quick counterattacking football in the past few years, but the former Stuttgart trainer is determined to take his team's game to the next level and play more dominant football.

"We will have to completely change our tactics – which used to be, 'if we have the ball we are active, if not we drop back'," Low was quoted as saying on the official UEFA website. "Our aim in the next months will be to play a high pressing game, even against attacking sides. We have to be more active when defending without the ball.

"Everyone has to play their part and this gives us quite a lot of work to do in training but we have to tackle this now. Before the European Championship there was not enough time."

Germany starts its 2014 World Cup qualification campaign with a home game against Faroe Islands on Friday.
