Morton are boosted by the return Mark McLaughlin and Michael Tidser for the visit of Dumbarton.

Kevin Rutkiewicz, Martin Hardie and Peter MacDonald remain out for the Cappielow men, who are looking for their first win of the season.

Manager Allan Moore said, "We have had a disappointing start but we will just have to get on with things. We had hoped to get off to a flying start but we will get there and this is as good a game to start in as anyone.

"We will have to work hard to achieve it as Dumbarton are a decent team particularly when they attack you."

Dumbarton have added experienced midfielder Chris Turner to their squad from Shamrock Rovers and he will make his debut in the absence of the injured Kevin Nicol at Morton.

Former Motherwell player Ross Forbes could play his second game as a trialist for the club, however striker Pat Walker continues to be sidelined by an ankle injury.

The Sons have not picked up a point in the league so far and went out of the Scottish Communities League Cup on Tuesday.

But manager Alan Adamson said: "Our performances have improved in every game as we continue to adjust to the First Division. Morton will be out to beat us to get their season going but I am sure our development will lead to points and wins soon."
