Roma vs Catania preview - Zeman wants attacking flair

Returning coach Zdenek Zeman has vowed to turn Roma into an attacking force in Serie A this season as they prepare to open their new campaign against Catania at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
Veteran Zeman, who was last at the club 15 years ago, had little time for the tactics of his predecessor Luis Enrique, who departed after Roma's disappointing seventh place finish in Serie A last season.
The outspoken Zeman said: "Luis Enrique focuses on ball possession, but I do not as I have not got enough patience. It is a question of character, but the important thing is always to get to the goal."
Zeman has brought in a host of new faces as he bids to re-establish Roma as a title-chasing force, with Federico Balzaretti arriving at full-back, Mattia Destro and Panagiotis Tachtisidis adding options up front, and American Michael Bradley in from Chievo.
In addition, Zeman has raided Brazilian club Corinthians for three defenders, Leandro Castan, Dodo and Marquinhos, all of whom are in contention for their debuts against Catania, who struggled to beat relegation last term.
Catania coach Rolando Maran is excited about his personal debut in Serie A, and says his club, who will once again be led by midfielder Francesco Lodi, can improve on last season's creditable finish.
Maran said: "I have a clear conscience that they have worked hard and so I feel ready to enjoy my debut. I have always said that when I finally arrive in Serie A it will be the right time, and this is it."
