Yann M'Vila feels he has outgrown the French league

M'Vila is widely regarded as one of the best young midfielders in Europe, but was given permission to leave Rennes at the end of last season, after feeling that he had outgrown Ligue 1.

However, despite months of speculation over a move to Arsenal, the closest he got to a move to the Emirates Stadium came at the start of the summer, when the Gunners made an initial enquiry with Rennes to discuss a price for the player.

They have not returned since, and although Real Madrid and Inter Milan have shown some tentative interest, M'Vila's spat with France's coaching staff during Euro 2012 has tarnished his reputation and he was forced to return to the Rennes side at the start of the new season.
