Spurs eyeing move for Brazilian goalkeeper

Tottenham could be set to turn their attention to Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar after their hopes of landing Hugo Lloris stalled.

Spurs have long been keen on adding French captain Lloris to their ranks but Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas appeared to end their pursuit when he declared the club ‘really want to keep him’.

And with Cesar’s stay at the San Siro coming to an end, the White Hart Lane side are reported to be preparing a deal to bring the 32-year-old Brazilian to the Premier League after he announced his impending departure from Inter.

“They have been seven beautiful and successful years, but, in a few days, my adventure in the Inter shirt will end,” he said on his official Facebook page.

“I would like to thank all of you fans for the support you have given me and I hope you have a lot more success to enjoy.”
