Roma boss Zeman looks to replace Liverpool bound Borini

Roma coach Zdenek Zeman has given a strong indication that Fabio Borini is indeed on his way to Liverpool after saying he is looking for a replacement for the striker.
The 21-year-old enjoyed an impressive first year at the Stadio Olimpico following a co-ownership move from Parma last summer, with the Giallorossi buying the player outright at the end of the season in a blind auction.
Recent reports suggest that Borini is on the brink of completing a move to Liverpool, and Zeman admitted that Roma will be looking for a new striker.
"I liked Borini, for me he was a good player," Zeman told Studio Sport. "We hope to replace him.
"Mattia Destro is a player I like, he is a talented youngster and he can play anywhere."
Zeman then took a swipe at former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi, who had accused the Roma coach of losing the essence of football.
"Those who followed the Calciopoli process know why their two Scudetti were revoked," Zeman added.
"If the essence of football is doping or bribing referees, I am very distant from that."
Meanwhile, Roma captain Francesco Totti commented on AC Milan's potential sale of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, denying suggestions that he is happy to see the Rossoneri lose two of their main stars.
"If Ibra and Thiago go, Serie A will lose two great players," Totti said. "Unfortunately, when there are people who have the economical means to do anything they want, they can change the balance of the market."
