AIK cancel AC Milan friendly due to Ibrahimovic uncertainty

AIK have scrapped plans for a friendly against AC Milan next month because of the uncertainty surrounding Zlatan Ibrahimovic's future following Paris Saint-Germain's offer for the striker.
The Swedish club were set to host the Italian giants at the Rasunda Stadium in Stockholm on August 12, but have now put the idea to bed while the saga surrounding the striker's protracted switch drags on.
Ibrahimovic is seemingly on the brink of a move to PSG after Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani accepted a €65 million [£51m] bid for the striker and defensive team-mate Thiago Silva - a deal that appears to have prompted AIK's change of heart.
"Unfortunately, a number of external circumstances meant that we took a joint decision not to stage the match this time," said AIK managing director Thomas Edselius.
A spokesperson from Tailor Events, the organisers of the match between the two sides added: "If we cannot guarantee Zlatan's participation, then there is a risk that many would be disappointed."
