I have a say

Richard Brittain scored hat-trick as Ross County moved clear at the top of the First Division after a thrilling 3-2 win over Ayr.

Brittain opened his account in the 16th minute when he curled in a delightful 20-yard free-kick after Micheal McGowan had brought down Michael Gardyn.

Michael Moffat should have levelled after 28 minutes, but his header was saved by the feet of Michael Fraser and Ayr were made to pay 10 minutes later.

Adam Dodd fouled Gary Miller in the area and Brittain took his seasonal tally to seven when he despatched the resulting spot-kick into the bottom corner.

Keigan Parker headed Ayr back into the game by getting on the end of Micheal McGowan's 52nd-minute cross and he levelled the game 23 minutes later by firing in from the edge of the area.

But Brittain had the final say by firing in a spectacular 30-yard effort with 10 minutes remaining.
