Twitter rap ... United ace Federico Macheda
THREE soccer aces were charged by the FA yesterday for making alleged homophobic comments on Twitter.
Manchester United striker Federico Macheda, 20, Newcastle United's Nile Ranger, also 20, and Manny Smith, 23, of Walsall, are being investigated.
They are accused of acting in a way that was "improper and/or brought the game into disrepute" by making "a reference to a person's sexual orientation".
The trio have until 4pm tomorrow to respond to the charge. It is not the first time Ranger has been in trouble.
