Hamilton survived a late scare but clinched a 2-1 win at Morton.

David O'Brien's strike five minutes from time threatened to spoil the visitors' afternoon after first-half goals from Jon McShane and Andy Ryan had given them a comfortable lead.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 11th minute when McShane met Andy Ryan's pass on the volley from 12 yards and crashed the ball past goalkeeper Colin Stewart.

Ryan doubled his side's advantage in the 30th minute when he let fly from 35 yards and the ball nestled in the bottom corner.

Morton halved the deficit after 85 minutes following O'Brien's neat finish from 12 yards, but Hamilton hung on to claim a deserved three points.
