Manager Paul Martin continues to be absent through illness.
Martin's assistant Todd Lumsden said: "We have had good displays against Forfar already this season and a third one would be a great lift to everyone at the club.
"They will be smarting from losing to us twice, where they are in the league and also from losing to Arbroath in midweek so we need to be ready to face a highly motivated side.
"We need to get points on board and to start winning again. In this game the first goal could be vital."
Forfar Athletic have a number of injury doubts as they head to Coatbridge.
Michael Bolochoweckyj, Martin Fotheringham and Barry Sellars all face fitness tests.
Defender Jamie Bishop remains out and Station Park assistant manager Ian Campbell said: "There are a couple of other guys that were the feeling the after effects of the midweek game at Arbroath so we will delay naming the team until close to kick-off time."
Campbell added: "This is a huge game as there is a lot of pressure on both sides to get a win and move away from the foot of the table.
"You need players to stand up to that pressure and then go and win the game. Hopefully we have players that can do that."
