On-loan Celtic goalkeeper Dominic Cervi will play his last game for Morton at home to Ayr.

The home side will be without defenders Ross Forsyth and Stewart McCaffrey as they look to build on their win at Dundee in their last outing.

Cappielow manager Allan Moore said, "We had been on a bad run in the second quarter of the season but the win at Dens Park hopefully ended that.

"A success over Ayr would get 2012 off to a great start and give us an excellent platform to have a good third quarter.

"Ayr will battle for everything but I want us to start winning at home again."

Ayr welcome back Eddie Malone from suspension but centre-back Martyn Campbell remains out following knee surgery

Manager Brian Reid returns to the club he began his playing days with looking to make up for a 4-1 defeat at Cappielow earlier in the season.

Reid said: "I usually enjoy going back to Greenock but the last time I was there everything they hit in the first few minutes flew in and we were three down.

"After three weeks without a game we were a bit ring rusty in the opening half against Raith Rovers last week but we were better in the second and should have won the game.

"I am looking for the team to start where they left off in that one."
