Natasha Giggs: I risked it all for secret sex with Ryan.. now I want Rhodri back

Natasha said:

At the beginning it was thrilling to know that someone as famous and admired as Ryan wanted to be in bed with me.
But by the end the whole thing had become so seedy. It stopped being fun. The thrill had gone and there was nothing romantic about it.

By now the guilt of cheating on Rhodri outweighed anything I got out of being with Ryan. I thought, 'I'm worth more than this.'

I learned two crucial things this year — the most important being that I love my husband more than I ever realised.

I still can't believe what a fool I was to risk what we had all for the thrill of having sex with Ryan.

Now I sleep alone in the bed I used to share with Rhodri and wish he was back in it with me.

Like the rest of Britain, shocked Rhodri found out about Natasha's betrayal in June when he read a Sunday newspaper in which she confessed all.

She decided to go public after it emerged Man United winger Giggs had cheated on his wife Stacey, mother of his two children, with Big Brother beauty Imogen Thomas.

Rhodri, 34, packed his bags and left — and Natasha spent their wedding anniversary in tears.

The couple are still apart. But Natasha said: "I hope time can heal the pain I've caused. This has been the worst year of my life and I know I only have myself to blame for the way things turned out.

"I cheated on my husband with his own brother, who just happens to be one of the most famous men in Britain. It was never going to end any way other than badly.

"Ryan's wife has found a way to take him back. I just hope my husband can find it in his heart to do the same."

Natasha first met Giggs in a Manchester nightclub in March 2003.
