Brechin City will give Charlie King a late fitness ahead of the visit of bottom-of-the-table Stirling Albion.

Fellow midfielder Gary Fusco is also a doubt after illness and defender Gerry McLachlan remains absent following knee surgery.

Manager Jim Weir is looking to make changes after a 1-1 draw at Arbroath last Saturday.

Weir said: "Paul McManus, Derek Carcary and David McKenna all made a positive difference when they came on as substitutes and the three of them combined for our goal. They are all in my thoughts for a starting place against Stirling."

"We have the chance to open up a gap on them and start being closer to where we should be."

Stirling's interim player-boss Greig McDonald will take charge for the first time following the parting of the ways with Jocky Scott last weekend and the postponement of Tuesday night's clash with Forfar.

McDonald has ruled himself out of playing but the experienced Marc McCulloch, who has been assisting him with the coaching, is available after a knock.

Shaun Dillon is therefore the only absentee due to an ankle injury.

"Brechin are a tough side to play against," said McDonald.

"They have experienced players but we are really looking forward to the game. Training this week was subdued to begin with but there was a positive feeling at the end.

"We have beaten Brechin before and it would be great to do it again."
