Hamilton are hoping Martin Canning passes a fitness test ahead of the visit of Dundee.

The defender has a thigh injury but could be available as Billy Reid's side look to pick up their first win in three games.

Goalkeeper Tomas Cerny and midfield pair Alex Neil and Kyle Wilkie are still out injured.

But Accies go into the contest boosted by their performance in the 3-2 defeat by Raith Rovers last weekend.

"I am still frustrated at how we lost that one," said Reid.

"Our application was great and the players deserved more. Hopefully we can take that into a tough game against Dundee and get back to winning ways."

Dundee midfielder Ross Chisholm could be absent after picking up a knock in midweek.

The Dens Park side have leapt from bottom spot to third place, but manager Barry Smith insists only one thing in his side's game has changed.

Smith said: "Our performance levels are the same as they have been all season but the difference is that we are taking our chances at a far higher rate.

"We will need to do that again to get anything at Hamilton, as they will come out determined to beat us to make up for two defeats in a row."
