Chievo vs Bologna preview - Pioli pushing for immediate response

Bologna coach Stefano Pioli has called for an immediate response from his players when they visit Chievo on Wednesday on the back of last weekend's Serie A defeat against Lazio.
Pioli was left disappointed as his team went down 2-0 at home to the Biancocelesti on Sunday night.
The defeat marked Pioli's first slip since taking over the Rossoblu outfit earlier this month in place of the sacked Pierpaolo Bisoli, and he wants to see a positive reaction.
"We made many mistakes," Pioli said. "Lazio played very well and we simply weren't in the game.
"Against Chievo we need to interpret the game better and improve on our performance.
"I expect victory on Wednesday."
Pioli steered the club to a 2-0 triumph at Novara in his first game in charge.
That result was their first victory of the season and ended a five-match winless streak for Bologna.
Pioli knows his team have a lot of work ahead of them.
"We have to continue to work hard," Pioli said. "We need to find solutions in attack and we need points in order to lift the morale of the team."
Bologna have found the net just four times in seven games and lie 19th in the standings, one point adrift of safety.
Rivals Chievo go into the match at the Stadio Bentegodi looking to extend their unbeaten run at home this season.
Last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Inter Milan ended Chievo's four-match unbeaten run and dropped the Flying Donkeys to 13th place.
"If we had to lose a game, it is better to concede three points at Inter and win against Bologna," Chievo coach Domenico Di Carlo said. "Despite the loss, I am nevertheless happy with what I saw against Inter."
