Lazio fan banned for three years

A Lazio supporter was handed a three-year stadium ban on Sunday after a violent assault on a 44-year-old American tourist who was cheering on Genoa in a Serie A match.
Under a law passed in 2007, the 32-year-old fan was handed the instant punishment for "violence during a sporting event".
The attacker had tried to escape police by changing his shirt, according to the Ansa news agency, but he was quickly apprehended.
