Guillermo Giacomazzi and Carlos Grossmuller grabbed the goals as Lecce earned their first win of the season, 2-0 at Bologna.

The visitors, who were beaten by Udinese in their season-opener, went ahead through Giacomazzi eight minutes before the break and Grossmuller made sure of the points on the hour mark.

Defeat means Bologna have yet to register a point after losing to Fiorentina last time out.

A disappointing afternoon for Bologna started promisingly as they swarmed over Lecce only for a combination of poor finishing and fine goalkeeping to thwart their best efforts.

Lecce keeper Julio Sergio distinguished himself after just four minutes with a wonderful save to keep out a low drive from Robert Acquafresca.

Acquafresca was instrumental in the next chance after 18 minutes, a neat one-two with Andrea Raggi ending with the latter wastefully lashing wide when he ought to have tested Sergio.

Cristian Pasquato briefly threatened at the other end with a shot from a tight angle before Sergio was again called into action, producing a wonderful save to keep out Nico Pulzetti's close-range header.

The former Roma stopper kept the scoreline blank after 33 minutes with another save, this time from an Alessandro Diamanti piledriver.

Having been outplayed for 37 minutes, Lecce promptly went up the other end and scored.

David Di Michele's shot was too powerful for Jean Francois Gillet to hold and Giacomazzi was on hand to tap in from close range.

Gillet did much better three minutes later by turning over a Djamel Mesbah effort from the edge of the box.

Diamanti threatened an equaliser after 57 minutes with a curling free-kick which just drifted over.

But the hosts found themselves two down shortly after when Juan Cuadrado played in Grossmuller and he cracked home clinically from 20 yards.

Lecce came close to a third through Giacomazzi and Di Michele but Sergio, fittingly, made the final contribution to the victory with a fine save to deny the luckless Diamanti.
