Berlusconi ‘sex joke’ at Merkel

'Rude gag' ... Premier Silvio Berlusconi
ITALIAN PM Silvio Berlusconi made a crude joke about German Chancellor Angela Merkel, it was claimed yesterday.
The tasteless gag is said to have been heard by investigators probing a £660,000 blackmail plot against him. They were monitoring his calls.
The 74-year-old PM's comment related to sex and Mrs Merkel's physique. The phrase is too vulgar to mention in a family newspaper.
The PM was speaking to newspaper editor Valter Lavitola, who he is said to have paid hush money to over escorts who attended his parties.
Premier Berlusconi is currently involved in four trials including one for having sex with an underage prostitute.
