Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas unfazed by Manchester City and Manchester United's fast start to the season

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is off to a tough start after the Blues struggled to victories over Norwich and West Brom, as well as a draw against Stoke. Making things even harder on Chelsea is the start that both Manchester clubs have had by pounding opponents.
But the Chelsea boss knows that the season will be a long one, and says he is only focused on his team's results.
"It's good for them [United and City]," Villas-Boas said. "They've gone on to score a lot of goals and it's good for British football. We just hope to score one more goal than the opponents. Man United played to perfection and managed to score a lot. They are, with Man City, leading the table for the Premier League and we are two behind them. We want to grab them. Our objective is on shortening distance and not on what the others do in terms of performance."
Even though his side hasn't been at its best so far this season, the former Porto boss is happy with his team’s performances and believes that all is needed is a bit of fine-tuning.
I think it can be better and our objective is to transform it," he continued. "We have to improve on a weekly basis, on a game-to-game basis. It's what people expect from us - to get fluency in the way we play. I'm very happy that we have been creating enough chances to win games and this is a good sign for us. We just need to improve on the quality and fluency of the game."
Chelsea will face a stiff test in the form of Sunderland this weekend and will have to do it without the services of striker Didier Drogba, who is still out with a head injury.
