Genoa 3 : 2 Cesena - Ficcadenti finishes with defeat

Cesena coach Massimo Ficcadenti had a disappointing end to his tenure with a 3-2 defeat at Genoa in their final game of the season.
Having already secured their Serie A status for another year, the club announced earlier this week that Ficcadenti would not sign a contract extension when his current deal ends in June.
The Cesena boss could only watch on at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium as his side conceded three first-half goals to Antonio Floro Flores, who scored twice, and Rodrigo Palacio.
And although Erjon Bogdani and Luis Jimenez replied after the interval, the visitors could not complete the comeback.
Genoa were also looking to salvage some pride after a disappointing campaign, and needed just six minutes to take the lead with Floro Flores' powerful drive into the top left corner.
The striker then added another in the 17th minute, providing the finish from six yards following a Palacio counter-attack.
Cesena seemed to rise to the challenge and home goalkeeper Mattia Perin made two important saves to keep out efforts from Jimenez and Fabio Caserta.
But they conceded again on the stroke of half-time this time from the boot of Palacio, who tucked away a cross from Floro Flores.
However, Cesena were gifted a way back into the match four minutes after the restart when Perin upended Bogdani, who was successful with the resulting penalty.
Perin then made some amends for his error with a diving save to tip away a header from Paolo Sammarco which was on course for the bottom left corner.
At the other end, Cesena goalkeeper Alex Calderoni was also called into action to push away Domenico Criscito's 25-yard strike.
Genoa then had to endure a nervy finish when Jimenez scored a second for the visitors four minutes from time, putting away a neat pass from Dominique Malonga.
But the hosts managed to hold off a late spell of pressure for the win.
