Dumbarton look set to be without on-loan Motherwell midfielder Jordan Halsman and winger Derek Carcary through injury when they host Alloa in a crunch relegation clash.
The Sons lost 6-0 to Brechin last weekend and threw away a two goal lead at Stenhousemuir in midweek and manager Alan Adamson is determined that his side use the memory of their last clash against the Wasps at Strathclyde Homes Stadium as inspiration.
Adamson said, "Our 4-1 win over Alloa in January was the springboard for us getting off the foot of the table.
"I will be reminding the players about how well we did in that game and to use this one as the springboard for moving away from relegation trouble.
"A 4-1 win last time was great but I will settle for a 1-0 win this time out."
Alloa boss Allan Maitland has added Hibs youngster Kurtis Byrne to his squad.
Maitland swooped late on Thursday night to bring Byrne to Recreation Park on loan until the end of the season.
Fit-again pair of Darren Smith and Nathan Taggart are also included in the pool that lost to Brechin in midweek, however Maitland remains short on bodies with up to six Wasps` missing for this key clash in the battle to avoid relegation.
David McClune, Mark Brown, Brown Ferguson and Bryan Prunty are all ruled out with James Bloom and Jim Lister both requiring to prove their fitness to be included.
Maitland said, "This would be a great game to win as not only does it get us 3 points it brings Dumbarton right back into things as well."
