Cowdenbeath boss Jimmy Nicholl expects full-back Richie Vauls to be available to face Falkirk.
The defender was substituted after taking a knock during the draw at Dundee but should be fit.
Nicholl is also hopeful that John Armstrong, Bob Malcolm and Colin Cameron can all pass fitness tests and be included.
Defenders Joe Mbu and Dene Droudge and midfielder Danny Mackay all remain out with injuries.
Nicholl is looking for his men to set their sights higher than eighth place starting with a win over Falkirk, explaining: "We have to keep looking up the way and a win starts pulling other teams into the fight.
"We have been playing well, and should have beaten Dundee at the weekend instead of drawing, so we have to turn our good play into more points."
Falkirk defender Kieran Duffie and striker Tam McManus are expected to shake off niggling injuries.
Winger Ryan Flynn is in line for a return to the starting line up after a making a substitute appearance at the weekend following illness.
Defender Mehdi Khalis remains on international duty with the Moroccan under-23 side and misses out with Falkirk boss Steven Pressley saying: "Beating Raith Rovers at the weekend was a must win game in terms of getting back into things, and this is a must win game in terms of putting pressure on both Rovers and Dunfermline.
"The players, supporters and I are desperate to be challenging for this league.
"We are nicely placed to get back into things but we need the three points from Central Park."
