Brescia vs Bologna preview - Emotions running high for Viviano

Bologna goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano admits the match against his former team Brescia at the Mario Rigamonti stadium will be an emotional one for him.

The Italy international moved to Bologna in the summer of 2009 after six campaigns at Brescia but still has strong ties to the city.

"It will be a special match for me," Viviano said. "I think I will be well received by my former fans.

"I am very close to the city of Brescia because my wife and my daughter were born there.

"It was at Brescia where I became a man and a player.

"I spent six years of my life there and Saturday will feel a bit like returning home."

Bologna held Genoa to a 1-1 draw in the last round to guarantee Alberto Malesani's side Serie A football next season. The Rossoblu are 10th in the standings and now have 40 points 30 games into the season. They would have had three more had they not received a points deduction as punishment for missing a tax deadline.

"We are in a good position in the standings," Viviano said.

"But we want to get more positive results and end the season in a high position."

Rivals Brescia have eight games to ensure another season of top-flight football and are currently 19th, three points adrift of safety.

The Rondinelle lost 2-1 at Juventus last time out having previously held Inter Milan to a 1-1 draw.

Brescia have not won since beating Bari 2-0 on February 6. Since then, Giuseppe Iachini's side have drawn four of six games.

"We are always getting less than what we deserve," said Iachini. "We have to be more clinical to close games before the other teams and score more goals than the rest."
