Morton host manager Allan Moore's former Stirling Albion side without the injured trio of David MacGregor, Darren Young and Kevin Kelbie.

Yet spirits are high in the Greenock camp after last weekend's win at Dunfermline that saw them climb to fourth place in the table.

Despite Albion's lowly position, Cappielow assistant manager Mark McNally is predicting a tight contest.

He said: "The first game of the season ended goalless and when we played then up at their place it was heading the same way until a late piece of brilliance from Brian Graham.

"Allan and I know some of the players from our time there and there are some right good footballers there so we are expecting it to be just as tough this time out."

Stirling Albion are missing the banned pair of full-back Ross Forsyth and centre-half Scott Buist.

Injuries have also ruled out goalkeeper Callum Reidford and Greig MacDonald with on-loan Hearts youngster Jonathan Brown rated as doubtful.

Manager Jocky Scott is demanding improvement from his side following their capitulation last week when a three-goal lead turned into a 4-3 defeat at home to Cowdenbeath.

Scott said: "What we did last weekend for 75 minutes we need to do for 90 minutes.

"We tried to pick everyone up after a really poor end to last week's game and we have kept training positive this week, concentrating on the good stuff we played last weekend as there was plenty of that."
