Dundee eased their relegation fears with a 3-1 win at fellow strugglers Cowdenbeath.

Dundee dominated the first-half with Craig Forsyth and Rhys Weston missing favourable opportunities to give them the opening goal.

Sean Higgins converted his chance though after 23 minutes from Forsyth's cross for his fifth goal in five games to give Dee a deserved half-time lead.

They extended their lead three minutes into the second half when Matthew Lockwood converted a penalty after he was fouled by Steven Crawford.

Beath pulled one back after 55 minutes when Greg Stewart slotted home from Scott Linton's centre.

However, the away side continued to dominate and netted a deserved third five minutes from time when Forsyth headed home from 12 yards.
