Mark Stewart's goal nine minutes from time helped 10-man Falkirk secure a 1-0 home win over nine-man Morton.
Stewart fired home from six yards after a Jack Compton corner had created havoc in the Morton defence.
Morton's best chance came after 43 minutes, Falkirk goalkeeper Robert Olejnik doing well to tip Allan Jenkins' effort round the post.
The home side's Pedro Moutinho hit a post after 50 minutes before Morton were reduced to 10 men 17 minutes from time, Carlo Monti shown a straight red for a challenge on Compton.
The Ton were then two men light four minutes later when Michael Tidser was sent off for a second booking before Falkirk's Mark Millar was also shown a second yellow on 90 minutes.
