Team GB's men's rugby sevens players look ahead on Sunday (7th August) to the start of their debut Olympic competition at Rio 2016.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Tom Mitchell, captain:
(on his expectations for the tournament):
"Yes I think (the number of good teams) makes for a very exciting spectacle. There aren't many boring sevens tournaments. I don't think I've ever seen one so that's great for the Olympics and people who maybe haven't watched the sport before will get a taste of just how exciting it is. Those 14 minutes games can go either way sometimes and you do have to be right on your mettle if you want to get the results that you want. As you say, all the games are tough now so we'll be very focussed particularly on our first game against Kenya. Get that right and then hopefully the rest will follow after that."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Tom Mitchell, captain:
(on being part of the Olympics):
"This is the biggest thing that we have ever been part of. Not only is it an opportunity for us to be able to showcase our sport on the biggest stage but individually, the opportunity as someone who loves sport, as a kid who grew up watching the Olympics and thinking 'wow I'd love to be a part of that,' to finally be here, to be honest it hasn't really sunk in. I don't think that it will for a few weeks to come but to be a part of that as a rugby player as well is amazing. It's not something I ever thought I would do, combine my love of the Olympics and rugby so the chance to be here, to be living that right now, is amazing."
