New Zealand clicks into gear ahead of the Rugby sevens at the Olympics (3 August, 2016).
SOUNDBITE: (English) Sonny Bill Williams on whether an Olympic gold medal means more than a Rugby World Cup medal:
"I'm not too sure. I guess you have to surpass it because as an athlete, there's not higher level than the Olympics. I'm just fortunate enough that coach Tietjens (Gordon) gave me a shot at the start of the year, I've been fortunate enough this year to learn off these boys, learn off these boys in the team and you know, just train my butt off and now I'm here, I just wanna, like the rest of the boys, we just want to be successful. If I talk to you after the tournament, we go well then I can answer that question. Hopefully it's a good answer."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Sonny Bill Williams, winner of the 2015 Rugby World Cup:
"You know, I think er, having no sevens experience coming into this year, I sat down at the start with coach and we spoke about it and the key was, you know, putting myself in the sevens environment through the whole year, to learn off, you know, these boys up here, and become a sevens player and I definitely feel like I have now, so, you know the fitness levels are up where they should be, the knowledge of the game is up there as well, so just really looking forward to going out there, you know in a few days or a week's time, and try to play some good footy."
