Third seed Pablo Cuevas faced Renzo Olivo in their German Open semi-final in Hamburg on Saturday.
Cuevas, who reached his first grass-court final last month in Nottingham, faced little difficulty as he picked up the first set 7-5.
The Uruguayan saved six break points he faced and converted two of nine opportunities on Olivo's serve, as he took the second set 6-3 and the match, after one hour and 41 minutes. to book a place in Sunday's final.
30-year-old Cuevas will play Martin Klizan, as he seeks to win his third title of the season
Klizan took the first set 6-3 against Frenchman Stephane Robert, but found himself 1-4 down in the second before launching a fighht back.
Klizan reeled off the final five games of the match to seal the set 6-4.
47th ranked Klizan is bidding to win his second title of the season after winning his first ATP World Tour 500 tournament in Rotterdam in February.
