France took a 2-1 lead against the Czech Republic in their Davis Cup quarter-final thanks to Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert beating Lukas Rosol and Radek Stepanek in five sets in Trinic on Saturday (16th July).

Wimbledon doubles champions Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert defeated Lukas Rosol and Radek Stepanek in five sets to give France a 2-1 lead over the Czech Republic in the Davis Cup quarter-finals.
It proved to be a tough encounter for the French team who wasted a break point in the fourth set before gifting it to the Czechs when Herbert's volley hit the net.
In the decisive fifth, the French secured an early break and Mahut closed the match out with a smashed volley to secure a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 victory.
In Sunday's first reverse singles, Tsonga can clinch the tie with a win over Vesely.
If he fails, the tie will be decided in the final reverse singles with Rosol facing Pouille.
The eventual winner can look forward to match against the United States or Croatia in September.

Finally in Italy, Fabio Fognini was first on court against Juan Monaco and it didn't take him long to level the encounter against Argentina at 1-1.
The Italian dismantling his opponent in style as he triumphed 6-1, 6-1, 7-5 in just over an hour and a half.
However, all that good work was undone in the doubles match that saw Fognini and Lorenzi go up against Del Potro and Pella.
The Argentinian pairing got off to a fantatic start as took the first two sets.
But galvanised by the home crowd, the Italians roared back and levelled the game to force a decisive fifth set.
They weren't able to capitalise on their momentum though and lost a marathon four hour match in five sets, 6-1, 7-6 (3), 3-6, 3-6, 6-4.
