Rio 2016 announced the groups for the Olympic Rugby Sevens at their headquarters on Tuesday.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Bernard Lapasset, World Rugby Chairman:
"It was a dream for me to see the game and now it's no more a dream. It's a reality, that's fantastic. They delivered a very good pitch, very comfortable for the players, they can play very well. They can deliver the best technical process and running well, good passing, it will be fantastic for the pitch."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Bernard Lapasset, World Rugby Chairman:
"At the moment the new style is coming from New Zealand, who have two guys very fantastic. We have the same in France, one guy is a very good player. We have some in the GB (Great Britain) team, I'm sure Brazil will be finding some new players as well. I'm sure the new styles will be the legends in rugby and the legends in Olympic rugby is very special."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Rodrigo Garcia, Rio 2016 Sports Director:
(on athletes deciding against competing because of the Zika virus)
"There is a minimum chance that an athlete will get Zika here. We are preparing ourselves for that, we are taking all the care especially for the athletes - they are the top stars of the Games so we have to take care of the athletes. Unfortunately we have received news of some athletes pulling out because of that but not only of that, there is other reasons like injuries. It's not good for the Games when you don't have the best players here but we have to consider that an athlete is an athlete, no matter who is first on the rankings or 1,000 in the rankings. All athletes should be taken care (of) here in Rio in the same way. So we are prepared to receive them and we welcome everybody here."
