Angelique Kerber and Petra Kvitova spoke on Saturday (25th June) ahead of the Wimbledon 2016 Championships, which start on Monday in south west London.
SOUNDBITE (English) Petra Kvitova, two-time Wimbledon champion:
"I had a great preparation before I came to England. I asked for a wildcard in Birmingham and I played Eastbourne where I played four matches, which was great preparation. Two of them were at Eastbourne, which were pretty good game from my side. I feel good, I'm healthy. That's important and I'm ready to compete."
SOUNDBITE (English) Petra Kvitova, two-time Wimbledon champion:
(On who is favourite to win Wimbledon):
"It's Serena. Well, definitely it is. I mean she's the biggest favourite and she has the best game to win here."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Angelique Kerber, Australian Open champion:
"Of course Serena Williams is one of the favourites, I would say, because she's a tough opponent on grass especially. It's tough to say who is the favourite, I mean anything can happen."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Angelique Kerber, Australian Open champion:
"I think I've improved on a lot of things on and off court. I mean with the experience at the Australian Open, it was a big thing for myself to improve my game and my personality."
SOUNDBITE (English) Angelique Kerber, Australian Open champion (on facing Briton Laura Robson in the first round):
"It's tough to play against a British girl but, I'm looking forward to it. I played against her a long time ago and also here at Wimbledon in the first round in 2011. I'm looking forward to it. She's left handed, like me, which is especially tricky on grass. Yeah, its good to have a tough first round, its always good."
