Andy Murray booked his spot in the Aegon Championships semi-finals on Friday (17th June) in front of Roy Emerson, John McEnroe, Boris Becker and Lleyton Hewitt, fellow four-time winners of the London tournament, who watched courtside at the Queen's Club.
Andy Murray's quarter-final showdown with fellow Briton Kyle Edmunds at the Aegon Championships was billed as the battle of Britain.
It was the first all-British ATP Tour quarter-final since 2002 in Adelaide, Australia, when Tim Henman beat Greg Rusedski.
And it was advantage Murray,as he took the first set 6-3.
But Edmunds hit back in the second, breaking his opponent in the seventh game for a 4-2 lead.
With his confidence high after beating eighth seed Gilles Simon in round one, Edmunds heavy ground strokes kept Murray pinned on the base line as they traded blows, before the 21 year-old drilled a backhand past the Scot to level at one all.
However, it was Murray who took control in the decider, racing to a 4-0 lead over his training partner.
Despite a strong challenge from the youngster, the number one seed closed out the match to set up a semi-final meeting with Marin Cilic, with Murray chasing his fifth title at Queen's.
