Ireland captain Rory Best on Friday (17th June) said his team had "an opportunity to create history" as they seek to become just the third touring side to win a three-Test series in South Africa.
Ireland could join an exclusive club should they beat South Africa on Saturday (18th June).
Only New Zealand and the British and Irish Lions have ever won a three-test series in South Africa, with Ireland bidding to become the third.
Ireland secured a dramatic victory in the first test despite playing plenty of the match with 14 men after CJ Stander's red card.
Irish captain Rory Best says his side will need another phenomenal performance to win the series.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Rory Best, Ireland captain:
"We know, the same as last week, there's an opportunity to create history. We took a step forward last week in terms of being the first team to do it. Now we have an opportunity to win a Test series, which is unbelievably difficult to do. I think that's probably the big driver this week. It's going to take a phenomenal performance to win here because there is a reason that very few teams come here and win a test series and that's because it's hard to do. So for us, it's about making sure that we get ourselves right, we do the same homework, if not more homework that we did last week on the Springboks and we make sure we are ready to go and we are in a position that we know the Springboks aren't just going to hand history to us. We have to go and take it ourselves. That is going to be the tough challenge and the challenge you're going to be up for."
Johannesburg's Ellis Park will be the setting as Ireland bid to make history with victory.
