Wales captain Sam Warburton welcomed a return to his favoured number seven shirt, whilst also suggesting his side had become complacent following 6 Nations titles. Warren Gatland makes three changes to his starting 15 for Friday's (26th February) Six Nations game with France
"Yeah there is a lot of comparisons with past teams and the team we are playing in at the moment, but I think with the group of players we've got at the moment we come into the team and we won two Six Nations in 2012 and 2013 and the last two we haven't won and now we are starting to realise how...I don't think we appreciated it back then how hard it actually was to win a Six Nations campaign. So I think we've all been working particularly hard to try and get the title back in Wales, because even though we've had a good couple of years going back three or four years ago, we've realised now it is very difficult to win a Six Nations campaign. So we definitely want to get another title under our belt while we're playing and we've still got a great chance to do that this year."
"Yeah I mentioned last week, you know I don't mind who I play with out of the guys in the back row, but I am obviously more familiar with playing at openside and I will make a conscious effort this week to go a bit harder at the ball and compete, because that is an area where I think we need to improve on, slowing opposition ball down. I've been thinking about that quite a bit and if I was given the chance to play seven over the last few weeks, to really compete for that ball and really slow the French ball down. So getting myself in the game a bit more there from a contact point of view, but yeah I think we are lucky that we can have someone like Dan (Lydiate) who can come in and Justin (Tipuric) on the bench, like we all know, very blessed in that area, but for me yeah it's quite nice to back in your familiar position."
