The Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers, who will meet in Super Bowl 50, made their first public appearances at media day in San Jose on Monday (1st February), hear Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and linebacker Von Miller speak.
SOUNDBITE: (English): Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos quarterback (on returning to the Super Bowl):
"I'm certainly honoured to be here once again. This team is honoured to be here. I feel like I have a good understanding of the significance of playing in the 50th Super Bowl. This is, it's just a unique and special opportunity and obviously we want to take advantage of it. So playing in my first Super Bowl, Super Bowl 41, a different team playing for the Indianapolis Colts, a different head coach in Tony Dungy, that was a fun time. But I'm playing in my fourth Super Bowl, which I'm grateful for, but I'm happy for the guys playing in their first one. And watching guys getting off that plane the other day, watching guys coming here to this media day, our first practice today, it's just an awesome situation. I'm glad to be a part of it."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Von Miller, Denver Broncos linebacker (on returning to Super Bowl):
"It's great. I mean to have another opportunity to bring a trophy home for your squad, it's dope. Another chance at redemption is great. We've been focused. We had laser focus this whole entire week, all last week. So I'm pretty excited about what's to come later in the week and the game, of course."
