Denver quarterback Peyton Manning spoke to the press on Wednesday (13th January) ahead of the Broncos playoff match-up against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"I feel like probably most guys do, here in week 19 or whatever we're in. Obviously haven't played a ton in the last few weeks so obviously I needed that time to get healthy, certain parts of my body, at the same time other parts of your body you take advantage of that. Not getting hit and not getting pounded on, you try to take advantage of that and feel better for it. So I'm looking forward to being out there Sunday, that's for sure."

"Week 15 is that when we played the Steelers the first time? Ok. I think anytime you play a team the second time around, a division game, there are certain things that you're probably going to see again. There are certain things that you're not going to see. There are going to be some new things that you're going to see. Certainly in the playoffs - everything is fair game. Trick plays and new defences', you have to prepare for certain things, being flexible, and being able to adjust is important as well if something different comes your way. But you certainly know certain things are going to be consistent with Pittsburgh, they're very sound in what they do. They're well coached and they're going to play extremely hard."

"Well certainly I never like to see a quarterback get injured - you know I always wan the other or any quarterback to stay healthy. Ben (Roethlisberger) has been doing it a long time. He's one of - in my opinion you can't play quarterback as long as he has if you're not a tough player. And Ben certainly epitomizes that and that's what made him such a special player throughout his career."
