At the Women's World Cup hosts Japan were in action and things looked good. Serving to lead 19-15 in the first set, which they eventually won.

But then it all went against the world champions, USA taking the next two sets and finishing the fourth with this.. to win the match 3-1

Also in action on the penultimate day of the round robin competition Kim Yeon-Koung powered South Korea to a straight-sets victory over Argentina. Here she is serving to win her team the first of three straight sets.

In all, the no.10 delivered 14 kills, two blocks and two aces in a dazzling display.

And Serbia now sit second in standings, just below leaders China after a strong display against Kenya in Okayama. Kenya fought hard, levelling in several sets, but couldn't hang on, Serbia eventually taking all three in a straight sets victory
