In the bronze medal match up, it was the US pairing of Tealle Hunkus and Kendra Vanzwieten who prevailed over Vasiliki Arvaniti and Maria Tsiartsiani of Greece.
The Americans wrapped up a 21-12, 21-15 triumph in 34 minutes.
The gold medal match pitted Brazil's Juliana Felisberta and Maria Antonelli against the top seeds from China - Wang Fan and Yue Yuan.
With strong Chinese support the pair took a tight first set. Wang with an ace on the crucial point to take it 22-20.
Yet the Brazilians fought back, winning the second set by a 21-17 margin to force a decider.
The tension levels rose in the decider with the Brazilians at match point.
Felisberta hit a smash that just clipped the line and she wasn't about to let anyone tell her otherwise.
The for the Brazilians meant their first ever FIVB World Tour gold medal together.
