Intro:
MLS stars Robbie Keane, Juninho and Tim Cahill reflect on David Beckham's decision to retire from football.
Script:
SOUNDBITE (English) Tim Cahill, New York Red Bulls and Australian forward:
(On Beckham)
"To leave when he left the Premier League everyone was questioning why, but the bigger picture is you have to see what he's done in world soccer. He's made a massive impact on the MLS and it's obvious you can see that. Everywhere I travel every weekend you see Beckham jerseys regardless of what team you play against. So hats off to him, he's a special player."
SOUNDBITE (English) Robbie Keane, LA Galaxy and Ireland striker:
(On Beckham's retirement)
"It's obviously sad to hear as he still had a lot to offer. He came to the decision and he's been unbelievable for the game and everywhere he goes he's respected by every professional and every fan. What he has done and achieved in the game is incredible. I think it's going to be interesting now to see what he's going to do after because I know he's one of those guys who loves coming in and training every day and playing games. So I'm sure it's going to be hard for him to finish, but he's had a long and successful career so whatever he does we wish him the best."
SOUNDBITE (English): Juninho, Los Angeles Galaxy Midfielder, on what he would like to say to Beckham:
"I don't know now but I just need to thank him for everything he represented in my life and all his support and all his - all the time he was a very sweet guy and I learned a lot from him and I just need to thank and, you know, give the best luck in the rest of his life."
