A course record of 62 gives 1,268th-ranked Kim Chang-yoon a one-shot lead at SK Telecom Open on Friday (May 17th).

It looks like a children's water park, but this is the Pinx Golf Club in South Korea, home of the Telecom Open.

Overnight leader Matthew Griffin continued his good play, chipping in for birdie on the seventh, but the Australian fell from the top of the leader board and is one shot adrift on 13-under-par, despite shooting a 67 on Friday.

Fellow Aussie Jason Norris shot up the standings on Friday - and now sits third on 12-under after a 66 that included this approach at the flag to set a birdie on 13.

PGA Tour veteran KJ Choi is also in the hunt after a five-under round of 67 on Friday, one of the highlights being this long birdie putt on 13 that took him to six-under overall.

But the man with the hottest hand at the Pinx was gum-chewing Kim Chang-yoon, who blazed his way to the top with a course record round of 62.

The 29-year-old only made it into the tournament as an alternate, but he shot 10 birdies on his record-breaking round, including one on 15 that was set up with this approach.

Kim then added another birdie on 16 before finishing out with par on eighteen to go 10-under with a one shot lead.
