Brazil's Larissa Franca and Juliana Silva won a tight second set to beat Italy's Marta Menegatti and Greta Cicolari in the gold medal match in the Mazury Orlen Grand Slam on the FIVB World Tour in Stare Jablonki, Poland on Saturday

It was a beautiful summer's day at Stare Jablonki in Poland for the first grand slam beach volleyball final since the Olympics.

And it was a taste of victory for the Brazilian pairing of Larissa Franca and Juliana Silva after their bronze medal in London.

Larissa and Juliana took the first set against Italy's Marta Menegatti and Greta Cicolari 21-16.

But it was more of a struggle in the second with Menegatti and Cicolari managing to fight their way to set point.

Franca showed agility to set up match point for the 2011 world champions.

And the Brazilian pair went on to win the second set 22-20 to take the gold medal in the last grand slam of the season.
